What to expect in BUILD
BUILD is a program designed to guide you through getting started with heavy lifting and progressing your strength. It uses elements of power-lifting and bodybuilding to achieve increased strength and build muscle volume.
If you haven’t previously done this type of training, there are 12 beginner weeks to get you comfortable with the three primary lifts — the squat, bench press and deadlift. You’ll begin with lighter weights and ensure that you have the correct technique, allowing yourself to adapt physically and mentally to the new training style. From here you can progress to the main program.
Workouts take around 40-60 minutes each, including a warm-up and cool down session, and allowing enough rest between each exercise to maximise performance. The beginner weeks start with a mix of upper-body, lower-body and full-body workouts, then the program moves to strictly body part split workouts focused on the three primary lifts.
